Xiaomi made it known on their social media channels that there will be a new Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive version, the Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition is said to be launched in China on September 19, the Xiaomi CEO Lu Weibing said that this new version of Redmi K20 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC.

All the Specifications and design structure found on Redmi K20 Pro will also be available on Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive version, it spot the same 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) screen, packed an AI-powered triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary shooter with an aperture of f/1.75, a 13-megapixel secondary shooter with a wide-angle lens, and a third 8-megapixel shooter with an aperture of f/2.4.

It should also come with a 4,000mAh battery which should support 27W fast charging support, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack, this means that they are only upgrading the SoC to Snapdragon 855+, however there might be an increase in the RAM department but we don’t actually know yet.

Redmi K20 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855 while the Exclusive Edition will be powered by Snapdragon 855+, you might say there isn’t much of a difference but there is, the difference between both is that the Snapdragon 855+ chipset is clocked at a slightly higher speed, and the GPU is 15% better than the GPU on the Redmi K20 Pro as well.

Going deep, the Kryo 485 cores at the heart of the Snapdragon 855 Plus are clocked at a higher 2.96GHz, while the same cores ticking inside the Snapdragon 855 are clocked at 2.84GHz and also the CPU performance boost is around 4.2 percent, but the more notable upgrade comes in the graphics department.

According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855 Plus’ Adreno 640 GPU delivers a 15 percent boost in graphics performance compared to the standard Snapdragon 855.

The price of the Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition will be a little bit higher than the Redmi K20 Pro, the current Redmi K20 Pro price tag starts at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,200) in China, and goes up to CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,000).
