Xiaomi, for some time now, has been rolling out the stable MIUI 12.5 update, the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. This was after a successful closed beta test was carried out. The rollout of this update has only been restricted to China, and we anticipate that it would soon spread worldwide.

The tech company recently announced the arrival of the update on Mi CC9, a relaunched version of Mi 9 Lite. This relaunch was open to the global market and is the same situation as the Redmi K30S Ultra.

The device is available globally as Mi 10T but sells in China as Redmi K30S Ultra and is now receiving the latest MIUI Android skin.

Xiaomi had started rolling out MIUI 12.5 update for the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. Today, the company has begun to seed the latest MIUI version to the Redmi K30S Ultra as well as the vanilla Mi CC9.

This update for the Redmi K30S Ultra comes with features like an improved haptic feedback system. The device is also faster, lighter, and smoother. The company also fixed the bugs affecting the device as promised.

Another amazing thing is its optimized power consumption and reduction of background memory usage, which has improved the performance of MIUI. Due to the nature of the OTA rollouts, this update is, however, still limited and not available to all users.

The MIUI 12.5 update for the Redmi K30S Ultra and the Mi CC9 has familiar build numbers, V12.5.1.0.RJDCNXM and V12.5.1.0.RFCCNXM respectively. The latter phone also gets Android 11, just like the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. It weighs in at 3.5GB for the full recovery ROM.

The builds are still in stable beta and should gradually reach all the users if there are no significant bugs. Xiaomi is expected to start releasing the MIUI 12.5 update for the global versions of these smartphones. We hope to know more about this with time.
