Samsung might be launching two sets of entry-level smartphones soon, and this time, the company is thinking of adding them to the Galaxy F-series lineups. As per a launched page which just popped up via Flipkart, Samsung will be introducing the Galaxy F02s and the Galaxy F12 in India on the 5th of April, which is exactly four more days from today.
Looking at the design and some of the teased key specs, both the Galaxy F02s and the Galaxy F12 might not be far from a rebadged Galaxy M02s and the M12 launched earlier. According to Flipkart, both of these phones are expected to come in a 6.5-inches display with the F02s having standard 60Hz refresh, while a 90Hz refresh will be slammed on the Galaxy F12.
Although there is no word on the CPU that will be used on the higher F12 model, but the smaller Galaxy F02s will take it processing power from same Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 CPU used in the M02s or the A02s. Both models will be powered by a 5000mAh built-in battery, just as we saw on the M02s and the M12 combo.
As for their camera department, the F02s will have four cameras in all; three on the rear and one upfront, while the F12 will be given five sensors in all; one on the front, and an assembly of four snappers on the rear, driven by a 48-megapixel main sensors.
Both phones will use a dewdrop notch overhead. The Galaxy F12 will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the F02s will not have a fingerprint scanner at all, and just as stated above, both of these new entry-level Samsung phones will be announced in India on the 5th of April, and should be via Flipkart and other online and offline stores.
