Samsung has just announced the latest addition to its flagship smartphone line-up, the Galaxy S23, and the Galaxy S23 Plus. Both of these two smartphone comes with almost the same specifications all through, except that while the vanilla model comes in a compact 6.1-inches screen, the display on the Plus variant is pushed to 6.6-inches.
The display on both models is an FHD+ panel, featuring a resolution of 2340 x 1080, along with a 120Hz screen refresh, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The duo is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy with an octa-core CPU clocking in at 3.36 GHz.
The RAM capacity on both the Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus is a single 8GB, paired with either 256GB or 512GB USF 4.0 non-expandable internal storage. Note that the vanilla S23 has an 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM model, but this memory is based on UFS 3.1.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus come equipped with a high-end triple camera system featuring a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with optical image stabilization.
Apart from the main camera, the Ultrawide sensor also features OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for improved image quality and stability. The front camera on both models is a 12-megapixel shooter with an F2.2 aperture.
One of the key selling points of the Galaxy S23 series is its dedicated Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which Samsung claims are the fastest in the world. The device also features an Infinity-O organic EL display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which should result in a smooth and seamless visual experience.
Additionally, the Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus are both compatible with 5G networks and come with eSIM support as well. Both models have an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and both are given dual stereo speakers. The devices are also compatible with wireless charging and power supply.
The Galaxy S23-series comes in six different colors: Lavender, Cream, Phantom Black, Green, Lime, and Graphite. The vanilla S23 is powered by a 3900mAh battery with 25W fast charger, while the S23 Plus is given a larger 4700mAh battery and a fast 45W charger.
Both models will start selling from February 17th 2023. The base S23 with 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage will start at $799, while the S23 Plus base model will start from $999. Samsung also announced the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which come with a larger 6.8-inch display, an upgraded camera setup.
