Tecno officially listed the Spark 8C on the Nigerian company’s site few days ago. The device which is the very first ‘C’ model in Tecno’s Spark line up, was listed in two storage option of 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM, and 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM, but without any price tag.
The Spark 8c is now on sales in Nigeria, and the higher storage model with 3GB RAM and 64-Gigs of internal ROM is priced at N66,000. At this price, you are getting a 6.6-inches HD+ screen with 90Hz refresh rating and a dewdrop notch on the head.
It is still not confirmed which CPU is powering this new smartphone offer from Tecno, but our little digging points to a UNISOC CPU; a supposed Tiger T606 SoC at 1.61GHz. The CPU is said to have Mali-G57 GPU, which should result in a decent gaming experience.
Camera options on the Spark 8C includes a dual shooters on the rear; a 13-megapixel primary, with 77.3˚ FoV and F/1.8 aperture, along with a secondary AI depth shooter and 4-LED flash on the rear. The notch on the front has a single 8-megapixel selfie lens along with an LED flash.
The device is painted in Turquoise Cyan, Magnet Black, Iris Purple and Diamond Grey colors. The Spark 8C is powered by a 5000mAh battery, and run Google Android 11 out of the box. Note that the quoted N66,000 is the price for the 3GB RAM, with 64GB ROM. The smaller 2GB RAM with 32GB ROM may be even cheaper.
