Vivo intends to introduce the Y400 5G in India early next month. The company has verified the new device’s color possibilities in addition to the launch date. According to promotional photos, the phone will have two cameras on the back. The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G, which debuted in India in June, will be joining it. Remarkably, on the same day as the 5G model is released in India, the 4G variant of the base Vivo Y400 is also scheduled to debut in a few regions.

According to Vivo, the Y400 5G will go on sale in India on August 4. Both Olive Green and Glam White will be available for the phone. According to promotional materials, the phone would have two rear cameras.
In terms of design, the Vivo Y400 5G has a pill-shaped camera island at the back that is vertically oriented. The secondary camera is positioned in a smaller squircle, and the primary sensor is housed in a squircle module. The camera arrangement includes an Aura Light at the bottom and a pill-shaped LED flash on the side. The power and volume buttons are on the right side of the phone.
The Vivo Y400 5G is said to include a 6,000mAh battery and support 90W rapid charging, according to a recent report. For water and dust protection, IP68 and IP69 ratings are anticipated.It may run FuntouchOS 15, an Android 15-based operating system, and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 CPU with 8GB of RAM.
The worldwide release of the Vivo Y400 is also scheduled on the same day. According to reports, it has a 6,000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary rear camera, and a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is as dust and water resistant as the Indian counterpart, with IP68 and IP69 ratings. The phone will have AI-powered capabilities such as Google’s Circle to Search, AI Transcript Assist, AI Notes Summary, AI Captions, AI Documents, and others.
Meanwhile, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G, which is already available in India, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It features a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 5.500mAh battery, and a dual back camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The price of the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models is Rs. 24,999 and Rs. 26,999, respectively.
