The Phantom X2-series announced few days ago are now available on preorder in Nigeria. The X2 and the X2 Pro are both the successors to initial Phantom X, and the very first true flagship smartphones from Tecno.
It is worth mentioning that Tecno is yet to reveal the official launch date for these smartphones in Nigeria. But this shouldn’t be longer anymore since the duos has now entered the pre-ordering stage.
Tecno is currently taking pre-ordering in a total of seven (7) cities across Nigeria. These includes Onitsha in Anambra state, Port Harcourt in River state, Kano, Kaduna, Ibadan, Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory – Abuja.
Tecno said early shoppers will be entitled to gifts worth N50,000 and an extra N10,000 cashback when full payment for either of the device is made. However, exactly what these full payment will be is yet to be known.
Some key selling point of the Phantom X2-series includes it display, camera prowess, built quality, and most importantly, the processing power of the phone. Both the X2 and the X2 Pro are based on the Dimensity 9000 5G flagship CPU from MediaTek.
Talking about pricing, in Saudi Arabia where the two phones were initially unveiled, they were both priced at SAR 2,699 ($718) and SAR 3,499 ($930) for the X2 and X2 Pro respectively.
This should translate to around N323,000 and N418,000 respectively. However, if the current dollar scarcity should be considered, the Phantom X2-series might stage between to N400K to N600K in Nigeria. More details on the pre-ordering activities can be found here.
