The leaked Tecno Pova 5 Pro has been unveiled, featuring an upgraded Mecha design with eye-catching RGB lights on the back panel. Building upon its predecessor, the Pova 5 series, the Pro model emphasizes its passion for gaming, catering to gaming enthusiasts.
Under the hood, the Pova 5 Pro is powered by a Dimensity 6080 chipset, a 6nm chip (TSMC) with 2x Cortex-A76 (2.2GHz) and 6x A55 (2.0GHz) cores, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This chipset offers improved compute power and enables high-bandwidth, low-latency 5G connectivity compared to the previous Helio G99 model.
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM (expandable with 8GB extra of virtual RAM) and 256GB of storage. To enhance gaming performance, Tecno has implemented a large 2,820mm² vapor chamber and a 12,979mm² heat dissipation area, ensuring the Dimensity chipset stays cooler during intensive gaming sessions.
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro sports a large 6.78″ display with FHD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. Popular games like Mobile Legend: Bang Bang can achieve a maximum 120fps, while optimizations maintain the frame rate at or above 80fps. Free Fire runs at 90fps, and PUBG utilizes the linear motor on the Z-axis for improved haptic feedback.
The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, offering over 9 hours of gaming or over 13 hours of video streaming on a single charge. The 68W Ultra Charging capability allows the phone to reach 50% charge in just 15 minutes, and a full 100% charge in 45 minutes.
Tecno has introduced practical features like Bypass Charge, which allows the phone to draw power directly from a charger or power bank, reducing heat and wear on the battery. Additionally, a port monitoring feature alerts users to potential damage caused by water or other foreign objects in the charging port.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP rear camera on the Tecno Pova 5 Pro, which can be used for “dual view” video shooting when combined with the selfie camera, ideal for vlogging. The phone also boasts stereo speakers that are both Hi-Res and DTS certified for an enhanced audio experience.
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro is set to be released soon and will also include a Free Fire special edition, featuring custom aesthetics and themes. The special edition will be available in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
With its gaming-focused features, powerful chipset, and colorful RGB lights, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro aims to cater to the needs of gaming enthusiasts across multiple regions.
