Apple has officially launched its latest iPhone 15 Pro series, which includes the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the vanilla 15 and 15 Plus. The new phones, save for the vanilla 15 and 15 Plus, are powered by Apple’s latest A17 Pro CPU, which is a 3nm SoC with a hexa-core CPU setup. This CPU is integrated with a 6-core Apple GPU, and it is backed by 8GB RAM.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, respectively. Both phones have a 120Hz refresh rate and support up to 2000 nits of peak brightness.

In terms of cameras, the iPhone 15 Pro has a triple-lens rear camera system that consists of a 48MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has two of the above sensor, but includes 12MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom.

Both phones also have a 12MP front-facing camera that supports features such as HDR, Cinematic mode, and Face ID.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max run iOS 17 out of the box. They are available in four colors: Blue Titanium, Natural Titanium, Black Titanium, and White Titanium.

Wondering what is the deal with Titanium here? Well, that is partly because the stainless still frame on the older 14-series is now replaced by a much stronger grade 5 titanium frame.

Here are some of the key features of the iPhone 15 Pro series:

  • A17 Pro CPU with 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU
  • 8GB RAM with (128/256/512GB/1TB for the 15 Pro) and (256/512GB/1TB) for the 15 Pro Max.
  • 6.1-inch or 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate
  • Triple-lens rear camera system with 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide sensor, and 12MP telephoto sensor (iPhone 15 Pro) or 12MP periscope telephoto sensor (iPhone 15 Pro Max)

  • iOS 17

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,099. Both phones are available for pre-order now and will be released on September 22.

The iPhone 15 Pro series is a significant upgrade over the iPhone 14 Pro series. The new phones are powered by a more powerful CPU, have more RAM, and feature a better display. The camera system has also been improved, with the addition of a periscope telephoto sensor on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

If you are looking for a high-end smartphone with the latest features, the iPhone 15 Pro series is a great option. However, it is important to note that the phones are quite expensive.
