Yesterday, Chinese telecoms launched 5G network in China and this telecom networks» China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom are giving out cheap data plans to people, they are now offering data plans that begin from CNY128 (about $18/€16) for 30 GB of data and go as high as CNY599 ($85/€76) for 300 gigs.

China now becomes the biggest country with 5G Network because they had already have three major carriers on board. Their government plans to install over 50,000 5G base stations in 3 Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, infact, those cities are already covered by the 5G network.

Huawei sees this as an opportunity to make some sales so they move 100,000 units of the Mate 30 5G to those cities to make some sales because a lot of people would now be interested to buy since there is 5G Network already in their residence.

As said by SCMP, those people buying the cheap data plans would like to switch to 5G network to enjoy faster connection, the authorities expect that over 110 million users would have switched to 5G network by 2020.
