Xiaomi has officially announced the cancellation of it Xiaomi 13 launch event which was scheduled for December 1st. The company made this known earlier today via weibo following the death of Jiang Zemin.
Jiang Zemin was a Chinese politician who served as general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from 1989 to 2002, as chairman of the Central Military Commission from 1989 to 2004, and as president of China from 1993 to 2003.
Reacting on Weibo, Xiaomi regrets to inform it fan of the postponement of Mi 13 launch event. Although, the company did not state directly that the death of Jiang Zemin was the reason for the postponement.
We regret to inform you that the launch event of the new Mi 13 series will be postponed. A new date will be confirmed, and you will be notified as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Preparation for the burial of Jiang Zemin is already on, and the launch date for the Mi 13 series may be announced soon than later.
