itel mobile is now pushing OTA update to owners of the vanilla S18 smartphone. The new update focuses on memory and security optimization, bringing a more recent Android patch, along with memory fusion technology.
Recall that iTel announced the S18-series at the beginning of last months. At launch, the company said the vanilla S18 will be able to extend it 2GB RAM to 4GB through memory fusion technology. But, the feature was not enabled out of the box.
To this effect, iTel promised it fans a future OTA. Now the update is here! You are not only getting memory fusion technology, you are also getting a more recent Android security patch of unknown date.
The update also brings some bug fixes to the current system. As for the OS, it is still based on Google Android 12 (Go Edition), so you are not getting Android 13 or something else.
The S18 itself was released in early October. Unlike previous iTel S-series, both the standard and the Pro S18 came with 4G network out of the box. Both sports a 6.6-inches screen, and both has a 5000mAh battery power.
A very similar device to the S18 and S18 Pro, is iTels Vision5 and Vision5 Plus. These two were released in the Asian market with same looks, but slightly different configuration.
