Recent reports suggested that MediaTek might cancel plans for the Dimensity 9500 Plus, which is expected to be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9500. However, a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station indicates that the chip is still in development and could power an upcoming flagship smartphone set to launch in the second half of the year. This information is now being linked to Oppo’s next generation Find X10 lineup.

Oppo Find X10 series chipset details tipped

According to details shared by Digital Chat Station, a forthcoming flagship series with standard, Pro, and Pro Max variants is currently undergoing testing with multiple MediaTek processors across the lineup. The tipster has previously hinted that Oppo’s next flagship family could consist of three models named Find X10, Find X10 Pro, and Find X10 Pro Max, making it likely that the latest leak refers to this series.

The base Find X10 is reportedly being tested with the Dimensity 9500 Plus, which is said to be manufactured using a 3nm process. In contrast, the Find X10 Pro and Pro Max are expected to step up to a more advanced Dimensity 9600 series chipset built on a 2nm process. If this information proves accurate, Oppo would be clearly separating performance levels within the same flagship range, rather than depending only on camera or display differences to distinguish the models.

Early speculation points to a China launch for the Find X10 series around October. Oppo is also believed to be working on a Find X10 Ultra variant that could arrive a few months later. This model may switch to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, continuing Oppo’s pattern of using Snapdragon chips for its highest tier Ultra devices.

In the near term, Oppo appears focused on earlier product launches. Reports suggest that the Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s Pro, and the Find N6 foldable could be unveiled in China as early as March. While the Find X9 Ultra and Find N6 are tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Find X9s Pro may be powered by the Dimensity 9500. More details about Oppo’s flagship strategy are expected to surface as these launches get closer.
