Realme announced their GT Neo 5 a few days ago. The smartphone began the company’s GT Neo 5 series and was available in two charger variations; one with a 150W charger and another, with an ultra-fast 240W charger.
And just like the GT Neo 3-series, we do know that sooner or later, other models will be joining the GT Neo 5. Now, a purported Realme GT Neo 5 SE has just been tipped by a Weibo user (Digital Chat Station), and according to reports, this upcoming device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 CPU.
Qualcomm is said to be working on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, and this chipset may arrive in the 4th quarter of 2023. Report also suggests that MediaTek is working on a Dimensity 8300, which is expected to offer close specifications and power with the current Dimensity 9200.
The aim is to bring a capable Dimensity CPU that can properly rival the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 when announced. But since the GT Neo SE is expected to arrive within or before quarter 2, it will be relying on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 instead of waiting for the Dimensity 8300, or the SD7 Gen 2 SoC.
The recently announced Realme GT Neo5 mobile phone features the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core chip. It has up to 16GB RAM amd 1TB of memory, a 144Hz 1.5K display and a T7+ luminescent material. The phone also boasts a peak brightness of 1400 nits and supports a 7-speed intelligent dynamic refresh rate, 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, and a 5000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
