Redmi is reportedly preparing to launch the Redmi Note 15 series in China sometime in August. Later in the year, the brand might introduce the Redmi K90 series in November. Another addition, the Redmi Turbo 5, is speculated to debut either by the end of this year or early January 2026. Now, a new leak from trusted tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed several key features of the upcoming Turbo 5.
Rumored Specifications of the Redmi Turbo 5
The tipster claims that Redmi is currently testing a new mid-range smartphone that runs on the Dimensity 8500 chipset. It’s expected that the chip could be marketed as the Dimensity 8500 Ultra once the phone goes official. This device is likely the Redmi Turbo 5, which is set to launch in China. On the global stage, it may arrive as a rebranded Poco X8 Pro.
The leaked details suggest the Turbo 5 will sport a 1.5K resolution LTPS OLED screen, featuring large, rounded corners. It will also include a sleek metal middle frame and a simplified camera design on the back. While the exact screen size wasn’t mentioned in the latest update, past leaks indicate it could have a 6.6-inch display.
Another highlight is the use of a high-silicon battery with a capacity that starts with a “7”, most likely around 7,000mAh. The leak also hints that the Redmi Turbo 5 will focus on delivering a comfortable grip and a user-friendly size, making it a strong contender in the mid-range market.
Meanwhile, Redmi is also planning to launch new smartphones in India. Although no specifics were shared in the latest teaser, it’s likely that the upcoming release in India could be the Redmi 15 series.
