Samsung’s newest flagship smartphones from the Galaxy S26 series are reportedly generating strong demand during the pre order period. Early industry reports suggest the devices are attracting considerable attention from consumers. At the same time, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has earned a major recognition at MWC 2026, highlighting the technological improvements introduced with this generation.

Galaxy S26 series pre orders show strong demand

According to sources within South Korea’s telecom industry, early pre order performance for the Galaxy S26 lineup has been very promising. Market analysts believe the new series could exceed the milestone achieved by the Galaxy S25 lineup, which recorded roughly 1.3 million reservations during its pre order phase.

Although the official figures have not yet been finalized, several telecom officials have noted that the pace of current reservations appears stronger than last year’s flagship launch. Among the different models available, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is reportedly drawing the largest portion of buyer interest.

Samsung representatives have also hinted at encouraging early results. Company officials stated that sales for the Galaxy S26 family are currently about 15 percent higher compared to the previous generation. The Ultra model alone is said to account for close to 70 percent of all pre orders.

Industry experts point to several reasons for this positive response. Inventory of the Galaxy S25 series has largely been cleared from carriers, which may be encouraging users to upgrade. Additionally, many premium smartphone buyers seem to be particularly interested in the latest flagship lineup.

Galaxy S26 Ultra wins Best in Show at MWC 2026

Alongside its strong early sales performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has also received industry recognition at the Global Mobile Awards held during MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The device was awarded Best in Show, one of the most prestigious honors presented at the event.

Judges praised the device for successfully combining advanced hardware with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software and Galaxy AI capabilities, which are designed to enhance everyday usability while maintaining high standards of privacy protection.

One feature that stood out during evaluation was the built in Privacy Display. This technology improves screen privacy without reducing display quality. According to the judging panel, the Galaxy S26 Ultra distinguished itself among the many products unveiled at MWC by delivering practical innovations that users can benefit from immediately.
