Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch its next S-series smartphones the Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini in China this November. While earlier leaks suggested the Pro Mini would use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus, fresh information from a reliable source points to a major shift: the device will instead feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8-series processor, alongside several other noteworthy upgrades.
Vivo S50 Pro Mini – compact design with flagship power

The upcoming Vivo S50 Pro Mini is expected to sport a 6.3-inch flat display, continuing the sleek and compact design approach seen in last year’s S30 Pro Mini. The panel will reportedly support a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, offering vivid colors and fluid scrolling.
Under the hood, the biggest change comes with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, replacing the previously rumored Dimensity 9400 Plus. While Qualcomm has yet to officially announce the processor, early leaks suggest it’s built on a cutting-edge 3nm process and includes a 3.8GHz prime core, 3.32GHz performance cores, and a next-generation Adreno GPU.
Interestingly, the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo is rumored to be the first smartphone in China to launch with this same chipset, meaning the S50 Pro Mini could follow closely behind.

Battery performance is also getting an upgrade the device is expected to house a larger battery than the Vivo X300’s 6,040mAh unit. On the photography side, the S50 Pro Mini will reportedly come with a triple rear camera setup that includes a periscope telephoto lens for improved zoom capabilities. For selfies, earlier leaks point to a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.
Vivo X300 FE could be a global variant
Reports also suggest that the Vivo X300 FE, set to launch in international markets, may simply be a rebranded version of the China-only S50 Pro Mini. If accurate, this means global users could get access to the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and periscope camera system. Current rumors indicate that the Vivo X300 FE may make its global debut sometime in the first quarter of 2026.
