Vivo typically launches its smartphones with different Android-based skins depending on the region. In China, Vivo devices use OriginOS, a feature-packed and visually rich interface known for its smooth animations, flexible grid layouts, and unique elements like atomic components and behavioral wallpapers. For global users, Vivo offers FunTouch OS, a reliable and customizable UI, though it’s often seen as less modern compared to OriginOS. There have been ongoing speculations that Vivo may finally bring OriginOS to international markets, and a new leak suggests that this shift might begin with the upcoming Vivo V60.
Vivo V60 India launch date revealed
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo V60 is set to launch in India on August 19. The tipster also mentions that OriginOS based on Android 16 could be introduced on the same day. Other reports suggest that FunTouch OS will also receive a major update soon, which could bring it closer in look and feel to OriginOS.
A recent report indicates that a device with model number V2511, believed to be the Vivo V60, has been certified in several markets including Europe (EEC), Malaysia (SIRIM), and TUV. The TUV listing confirms that the phone will support 90W fast charging.
Rumored specifications of the Vivo V60
The Vivo V60 is expected to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S30, which is currently available only in China. The S30 features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and comes in configurations with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The device includes a large 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging support. For photography, it is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel front camera that supports autofocus for selfies.
