A recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station shared important details about the upcoming Vivo X500e. Now, another leak from Smart Pikachu suggests that the Vivo X500 lineup could include as many as four smartphones. At the same time, Digital Chat Station has revealed additional information about what to expect from the Vivo X500 Pro Max.
According to Smart Pikachu, the Vivo X500 family is expected to consist of four devices, including the Vivo X500e, X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Although the latest leak does not mention them, earlier reports suggest Vivo could also introduce the X500s and X500 Ultra during the first half of 2027.
Digital Chat Station claims that the current Vivo X500 Pro Max engineering sample features a 6.85 inch 2K LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is reportedly built using LIPO packaging technology, allowing for extremely thin and evenly sized bezels on all four sides. It is also expected to feature a flat 2.5D screen with rounded corners, while BOE is said to be the display supplier.
The leak also states that the prototype is equipped with LPDDR6 RAM, which could make Vivo one of the first smartphone manufacturers to adopt the next generation memory technology. This also points to the possibility of the phone being powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
For photography, the X500 Pro Max is expected to retain a 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera using a large 1 by 1.4 inch sensor. Earlier reports also indicate that it may include a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 838 primary sensor with LOFIC technology, along with a 50 megapixel IMX8 series ultra wide camera.
When it comes to battery capacity, Digital Chat Station says Vivo is aiming for a battery that starts with the number 8, suggesting an 8000mAh class battery. However, the battery design has reportedly not been finalized, meaning the final capacity could still change.
As with most early leaks, these details are based on an engineering prototype, so the final hardware and specifications may differ when the Vivo X500 series is officially announced.
