Xiaomi POCO has recently launched the X5 series in India and Europe, and now it appears that a new model, the Xiaomi POCO X5 GT, is in the works. The phone has reportedly received certification from Singapore’s IMDA, suggesting eminent launch.
According to the IMDA listing, the POCO X5 GT model will support 5G and use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 upcoming CPU. The phone has also been spotted on the certification website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), with the model number 23049PCD8I.
The latest reports suggest that the POCO X5 GT could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is expected to be launched in the Chinese market soon. It is said to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chip (which has not yet been released and will reportedly use TSMC technology) and support 67W fast charging.
The POCO X5 GT is also expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5500mAh battery, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It is rumored to have a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
It’s important to note that these are not official details and should be taken with a grain of salt. The actual product may differ from what is being reported. As of now, there is no official announcement from Xiaomi regarding the launch of the POCO X5 GT.
